James received his undergrad degree in History with a minor in Italian from Florida State University. He went on to earn his Masters in Sports Administration at Florida State and began his career in the sports world working for the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays. 

 

After working for sports camps for kids, James transitioned into the beverage industry by working for JJ Taylor of Florida as an on premise sales rep in Tampa, Florida. He was involved in every major on premise event in the Tampa area ranging from Super Bowls to the Stanley Cup and everything in between. During these events, James was responsible for sales volume, product placement and event management.

 

In 2017 James took a Territory Manager role for Rogue Spirits and Ales covering North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee with multiple distributors along with control state regulations. In this role, James handled all aspects of Rogue business, including sales, marketing and logistics.

 

An opportunity to return to Florida to help build and train staff for a local Florida craft brewery brought James back to Florida. James worked on building out their sales force, increasing the distribution network footprint, building and maintaining sponsorship relations, and setting up programming for both on and off premise.

 

Previous work partners approached James to help them with their start up Irish Whiskey company. James was named the National Director of Sales for the entire US where he was responsible for building out a sales program and portfolio for a nationwide brand. 

 

James is an avid sports fan and follows most sports at all levels both internationally and across the United States. He loves the outdoors and can be found enjoying hiking, running or playing golf on the weekends.
